TUDOR RESIDENCE

San Mateo, California

Originally this was a Spanish style single floor cottage built in 1930. It was very successfully redesigned into a two floor Tudor style residence nearly twenty-five years ago. The lower and upper hallways aligned beautifully, but the finishes were never coordinated. Now both levels feature Wilton carpet runners by Stark, extensive recessed lighting and a well displayed art collection. Note the contrasting handrail in satin black which draws the eye from one level to the next. (2012-2014)
