ART DECO RETREAT

This apartment is centered around a rather large dining space with views onto a 32 foot wide terrace - quite a luxury in San Francisco. In order to make the room less "formal" and more comfortable for many types of tasks throughout the day, we chose a black bamboo dining table base by McGuire topped with a thick glass top. The chairs all have arms and are spaced far enough apart for comfort and ease of access. Note the elegant wall mounted live edge shelf, an original design by Michael Merrill, which serves to underscore the elegant photography and functions as a buffet as well. (2010)
